Ripe crabs apples on one of the trees at the back of Compton Lock.

Glistening ink caps, quite common growing in thight clumps near or on dead trees or stumps. Pictures show them at different stages of aging.

Once again the river at Bridgnorth was high. Two male goosanders were swimming by the upstream tip of the Bylet, one eager for offerings of bread.

The female was on a pool formed where the water had overflowed onto the Bylet, before she was joined by her mate, and they headed to the mainstream as a pair again.
