Unknown fungus, three successive days

Fungus, Bantock Park. There’s a hole in the centre for a nozzle where the spores come out, with traces of dark spores around it.

But the structure of the surface is more complex than earthballs, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to to expand to form a star.

Pictures taken over three consecutive days to show how it developed, or rather how little it developed.
