In front gardens on residential streets around here, yuccas which are treating the middle of the hardest winter for several years as their flowering season.
The full moon, late January. Early in the morning, it was shining through thin cloud. The halo of light surrounding the moon had a faint rainbow efffect.
Ear fungus, found all year round, growing for preference on elder. Seems to have a wide range of different textures – these on a fallen elder branch looked velvety.
