This year’s sole brood (so far) of young Canada geese from the large West Park flock. The goslings seem to prefer sitting on the tarmac of the footpath around the lake.

Spring fungi: glistening inkcaps, Old Nursery Wood

More spring fungi. Usually quite common, this is one of the few clusters of glistening inkcaps I’ve noticed this year. They were in Old Nursery Wood, growing from the wood placed to makr the edge of one of the footpaths.
