Spectacular rainbow

Rainbow

At the end of November it came on to rain just before sunset was due. The result was the biggest and most spectacular rainbow I have ever seen. These pictures do not do it justice. Apart from being large, and practically a complete semi-circle, at its peak it was a triple bow. Apart from the brightest main bow, the colours appeared in reversed order just inside the main bow, and more faintly a little distance further out.

Three waxcap species

Whitish waxcap

Three  different species of waxcap today – indeed possibly a fourth and even maybe a fifth, with the out of focus white and brown capped companions to the orange-coloured mushroom.
