Lots of ladybirds seem to be gathering in groups recently. I think these are seven-spotted ladybirds. They were on a tree stump right behind the snowdrops in the last picture in the previous post.
The locks at the Bratch (above) with the small octagonal building originally built as a toll-house. The more distant building is a lock-keeper’s cottage, still used for that purpose.
