The gossamer “beard” of these seeds was catching the sun.

Back at the start of the month, most of the local roadside daffs were still buds. But I happened across one patch where the flowers were out.

A calm sunny day, with just enough cloud in the sky to enhance the reflections in the canal.

A small thistle, its leaves spreading just above ground level.

A flock of perhaps a hundred or so geese on the pool at Berkswell. They were seen from the same footpath as the flower in the previous post.
