Geese with young goslings in West Park early last month.

The entire family were crossing the lake.

The blue ones are male: the females are greener.

Pictured at the edge of the pond at the Marsh Lane Nature Reserve, Hampton in Arden. as were these males.

Yellow rattle plant beginning to flower. This one was in the wildflower meadow area of Springvale Park.

Coots on their nests, presumably incubating eggs. This was one of several coots nesting on the West Park lake. Its nest seemed dangerously close to the shore.
