Two of the many orchids flowering recently in Baggeridge Country Park.

Masses of pollen-rich flowers were growing on roadside lime trees recently.

Gloucester old spot piglets from two different litters, pictured in adjacent pens on Northycote Farm. The one on grass was running up to me, seeming to be expecting food. Its litter is a few weeks older than the other.

The younger one was trying to make a wallow in the powdery-dry soil – both piglets had found enough moisture to give themselves muddy snouts.
