Liverwort and moss on a rock

Liverwort with broad leaves which were supposed to resemble a liver, and thus to have curative properties for liver problems, growing on a rock beside a lower-lying moss.

Both are evolutionarily primitive non-flowering plants.

Pure white bracket fungus growing out of the end of the trunk of a felled tree. A healthy growth of algae has turned most of the surface bright green.
