Post 4,000: weathervanes

Weathervane: raven

As the new year approaches, here is the 4,000th post to this blog. To mark this milestone, a few weathervanes I’ve noticed in the west midlands which portray mammals or birds which are not roosters.

The hunch-backed raven and the lone pheasant are both from Hampton in Arden. The pair of pheasants and the cow from Rindleford near Bridgnorth. The elephant is from Bridgnorth itself, directly opposite the High Town stop of the Cliff Railway.
