Several species of damselfies and dragonflies have taken up residence in the recently-created pool in Compton Park. The most numerous are common blue damselflies, and the mont visible of these are the males. They are more brightly coloured than the females, and spend a lot of their time perched on vegetation.
Single well-grown duckling on the sandy area of shore near the bridge at Bridgnorth early in July. The mother duck was keeping an eye, but not hovering close by.
Ox-eye daisy flowering among the reeds and rushes at the edge of Compton Park pool. This was the first of the daisies to flower, way back at the end of June.
