Sett entrance, well trodden
One of the entrances to a badger sett in Newbridge. Recent excavation in the sett had thrown out some soft sandy soil, which showed the footprints left behind by the badgers going in and out through the entrance.
Two young coots, probably from the same brood, on the River Avon by Lucy’s Mill on the edge of Stratford on Avon. One was standing on reeds, preening. The other was swimming in the middle of a patch of what looked like pondweed, busily eating some.
