One of the West Park resident swan families, having just spotted a source of bread, heading in a line to get their share.

Earthstars are among my favourite fungi, with their bizarre shapes. These fruiting bodies are all from the most common species, collared earth star. Indeed, it is likely that despite the variation in their shapes, they are all the visible extensions of one single underground fungal growth.
