Several species of spiders build their webs over crevices, with a tunnel in the middle where they lurk, ready to leap out for prey. The spider itself can just about be seen at the bottom of the tunnel here.

Privet flowers are normally more noticeable by their distinctive odour than their appearance, but this close-up shows their exotic appearance. The flowers develop from buds like these.

Cauliflower fungi come from one of several related species of parasitic fungi which look a little bit like the head of a cauliflower.
