The start of the month, and snowdrops were beginning to get past their best.

They are usually found in groups, but this group was on its own looking settled by the Shropshire Union canal.

It was standing on one leg the whole time I was watching it, but I think the other leg was hidden away under the wing.

The gossamer “beard” of these seeds was catching the sun.

Back at the start of the month, most of the local roadside daffs were still buds. But I happened across one patch where the flowers were out.

A calm sunny day, with just enough cloud in the sky to enhance the reflections in the canal.
