The conjunction of the various stages of a dandelion flower caught my eye.

The twigs of the two trees were so close together in a hedge.

The weather we have had this year has produced unusually good crops of the St George’s mushroom.

These were growing in rings: something I have never noticed before for this species.

There are three different rings, of varying degrees of completeness, represented here.

All three rings were within a few yards of each other: so close that the fruiting bodies may have been growing from the same underground structure perhaps?

This bluebell hadn’t opened yet, but something still seemed to have had a go at biting off some of the ends of its flower.

Whenever the rain pauses for a while, there seem to have been a lot of ladybirds about this year.

A more favoured spot on the same bush as yesterday’s buds – these flowers were pictured at the same time.
