Female broad-bodied chaser (Libellula depressa), taking a rest on the twig of a bramble, Baggeridge Country Park.
Originally incorrectly identified as a scarce chaser dragonfly (Libellula fulva).

Hiya sorry to put a damper on things but please compare with images of female Broad bodied Chaser on BDS website. Scarce Chaser is in Worcestershire but not yet Staffs. Regards Dave Jackson County Dragonfly Recorder
