Kingfisher, Water Bridge

Kingfisher, possibly a young bird, perched on Tunstall Water Bridge, scanning the Smestow Brook for prey, earlier today.

Ian from the Smestow Birders reports several recent sightings of kingfishers along the canal, nearer to Compton.
