Posted on 17 August 20175 August 2017 by David Pyrausta purpuralis moth on thyme Day-flying moth (does also fly at night) with distinctive colouring, Pyrausta purpuralis, the common purple and gold moth, was feeding on the flowers of thyme in a local allotment, then settling to sun itself on the thyme leaves.
